Which gag is better trap or drop

I wanted to share my opinion on which I thought is the better gag. My choice was It took me a long time to decide which one I wanted. I never got this far in the original TTO, so this was a big step for me.

I ended up choosing Drop for multiple reasons. I'm gonna tell you guys why I believe that drop is the better gag. Before we get into anything, I'm going to explain what each gag is.

Trap is a high damage gag, which works differently than any of the other gags. You use it by placing a trap in front of one cog, and then use lure on the cog so it falls into the trap. Trap is the second gag that can be used in each turn, which means it comes before lure. If there are multiple toons in a battle, trap can attack on the same turn. The only way for trap to work is if lure is also used. Drop is a high damage, low accuracy gag. It affects only one cog at a time, and works like most other gags.

You press a Drop gag, and something falls into the cog sometimes. It is the last gag to be used on each turn, but will almost always take out the cogs because of its high damage. If multiple toons use a Drop gag on one cog, the damage will increase. Drop will also never hit any lured cogs. Trap and Drop are the two strongest gags in the game, with Trap dealing more than Drop.

Generally, damage is a big factor in deciding which gag is better. Similar to how many toons may prefer Throw over Squirt. However, the trade-off here is that Trap takes 2 turns or 2 toons in order to work, while drop will only take 1. It is also easier for Drop gags to be combo'd between toons because all toons can use it at the same time.

Trap gags used together will cancel each other out, making one of the gags completely wasted. High level Trap gags may be able to take out a cog with only 1 gag, so that other the other 2 toons may be able to attack a different cog. This is the same for Drop, except that 3 toons may be able to attack because it doesn't require lure. Accuracy is also an important factor in deciding what gag may be better both overall, or in certain situations.

Personally, I'm going to use Trap. Hope this helps. Bongo Rock. Total Awards : You should use toon-up in the same round that lure is used, because lured cogs can't attack. If toon-up is used in a round in which no cogs are lured nor defeated, then toons will sustain more damage after just being tooned-up. Trap is the most powerful gag track. A level 6 trap gag can take out all cogs up to level Trap is best to train with friends because it requires lure to be activated.

Trap never misses, but requires lure, which has low accuracy, and a medium accuracy when grown from a gag tree. Multiple trap gags cannot be placed in front of the same cog. If they are, the two gags cancel each other out, wasting each toon's gags.

Unlike other gag tracks, trap cannot be carried as much in a gag pouch. Lure is a very important gag track because it not only activates trap, but prevents cogs from attacking.

Certain lure gags keep cogs stunned for a different number of rounds. Lure has low accuracy, but its accuracy is brought to medium when it is grown from a gag tree. It is impossible to develop trap gags alone without having lure. Sound is one of the most popular gag tracks because of its very high accuracy, and their ability to plow through rounds of cogs when used collectively.

All sound gags target all cogs, but they deal low damage. Although sound are rather weak, four level 6 sound gags can deal more than enough damage to take out four level 12 cogs at once. Sound should not be used on lured cogs because they wake up all cogs from their stunned phase, enabling them to attack again.

Drop, like trap, deals a lot of damage. Drop has a low accuracy, however, and always misses when targeting lured cogs. Drop is more likely to hit when cogs are stunned beforehand by throw, squirt, or sound. All gag tracks have their pros and cons, and leaving out any one of them has them as well.
