Dead space 2 severed where is it
What members of the childlike Necromorph survive attack Gabe as he enters the reception hall. He dispatches them and nearly catches up to Bartlett until he is blockaded by a wheelchair thrown directly into his black and another set of Detonator Mines set up throughout the following room.
Gabe remains one step behind Bartlett, forced to take longer routes to get around obstacles created by the environment or Bartlett himself. Bartlett fires stray shots down the hall just a few feet from where Gabe is before dashing off; Gabe gives chase. Gabe encounters a man who's been cut in half in an operating room; he doesn't appear to be aware of his death until his upper body falls away from the glass pane he was pressed against and his RIG flatlines.
Gabe is ambushed by a pair of Slashers; he dispatches them and moves on to the next the elevator. In a panic, Bartlett tries to dissuade Gabe by revealing the nature behind Tiedemann's termination order. Gabe was only necessary to get her pregnant. Deming them security risks, Bartlett still plans to go ahead with Tiedemann's orders. After traveling through the bathrooms, Gabe witnesses Bartlett's attack on Necromorphs blocking his path just below the observation room he'll soon enter.
When he enters the room he comes across the corpse of the Necromorph Bartlett killed and the body of a man who's flesh is missing from his legs and arms. Gabe arrives too late; Bartlett has already apprehended Lexine. Lexine calls out for him and Gabe demands Bartlett release his wife. Bartlett dismisses him, preoccupied with the two men in white.
He addresses them with familiarity and demands that they follow Tiedemann's orders. Bartlett is subdued without incident. Gabe fights his way back down to the lower levels of the hospital through wave after wave of Necromorph to reach Lexine in time. He arrives at the hospital's shuttle bay in time to witness the deaths of the two men at the hands of Infectors as Lexine rushes into a Gunship and out of danger. He defeats the Infectors and the Twitchers and prepares to override the hospital's lockdown on the bulkhead doors.
In the process, however, he is interrupted by Bartlett who arms a grenade without a second thought to his own livelihood in order to kill Gabe. Shared universes are a major buzz term these days. Every executive wants their own version of the Marvel Cinematic Universe , yet few have succeeded.
How surprising then that Dead Space of all series made such ambitions look effortless. In under two hours, plot threads that developed for years came to a startling head. Severed starts right alongside the main campaign, mere minutes after the alien necromorph outbreak on the mining colony the Sprawl. Trapped on opposite ends of the station, they need every ounce of luck to make it through.
Isaac and another, separate outbreak survivor, Nolan Stross, were abducted by Unitologists for research during the events of Dead Space: Aftermath. Now, Gabe has to race against the Unitologists, lest they steal away Lexine and her baby. Neither seems to be affected by the alien monoliths known as Markers, which makes them extremely valuable. The Markers typically drive creatives and intellectuals to create more Markers, while those with weaker minds are driven mad.
Ever since Altman, anyone who resists the effects is either studied or eliminated, and the chaos of an outbreak is the perfect cover to abduct Lexine.
In the end, while Lexine escapes, Gabe dies in the process. This suggests that, by the time of Chapter 6 , the events of Severed had already unfolded and Lexine had already escaped from Titan Station. After Gabe's first encounter with the Necromorph outbreak in the Titan Mines and the death of the majority of his patrol squad, Gabe is able to contact Lexine to warn her of the outbreak. After his emergency warning is transferred, Gabe makes his way through the mines, passing through many areas that will be visited by Isaac Clarke.
During this, he receives a transmission from Director Tiedemann ordering all surviving security teams to scrub the facility and eliminate all key subjects. Once Gabe finally arrives at the Titan Mines exit, he is fired upon by his superior officer, Victor Bartlett , who is in a gunship. After launching explosive canisters at the gunship, Gabe is able to force Victor to retreat. Gabe then demands an answer for his commander's seemingly random act of violence leading to the revelation that Gabe's wife Lexine is on the list of key subjects to terminate because of her involvement in the Oracle Program which has something to do with Lexine's recent pregnancy.
With renewed vigor, Gabe reaches the hospital in a gunship to try to get to Lexine before his superior officer can reach her. Gabe is finally able to make it through the Hospital to the Psych Ward only to find Victor being disabled by two strange men claiming to have orders to capture Lexine for further study.
Gabe chases after the two strange men to a docked ship, where Lexine escapes into the ship while her two kidnappers are transformed into Necromorphs which he quickly dispatches.
Gabe and Lexine attempt to make their escape but they find the airlock is locked and only accessible from a hackable console near the ship. As Gabe attempts to hack the airlock, Victor ambushes him with a live grenade. After a quick struggle, the grenade explodes, killing Victor and leaving Gabe severely injured with his right leg severed and his helmet compromised.
